And so Hayes Enterprises was born in 2017. Drawn to John’s proven ability to unlock the emotional resonance and the relationship of a brand asset, Hayes Enterprises quickly began working with four types of clients:
Fortune 50 companies looking to re energize their growth profile
High-potential scale-ups working to get to the next level;
Ambitious start-ups seeking to establish the right fundamentals
VC funds and PE firms keen to leverage the value of their portfolios
After a storied 20-plus-year career as chief marketing officer of American Express, John Hayes found his brand- and business-building expertise in heavy demand.
In particular, and through the process of working with both established and fledgling companies, John began to see a recurring theme and gap in many companies’ strategic business agendas. Growth was often stunted or diminished because these brands and businesses had not clarified or exploited, at an enterprise-wide level, the central narrative thread that would inspire and motivate emotional engagement across their key, but often disparate, audiences.
From this acorn, the oak tree of the Hayes Enterprise Narrative™ was born, and with it the growth of his independent consulting practice into a partnership advisory company.
Today, John operates Hayes Enterprises in partnership with Simon Pearce and Sean Hayes, two seasoned marketing, brand, and business professionals who bring their unique and complementary skill sets in support of a carefully curated client roster, under John’s stewardship of the company.
